Why arcangel? (yeah, its without the 'h')

I used to be a fan of X-men comics when I was a kid. Archangel (formerly known as Angel; real name: Warren Worthington III) happened to be (and still is) my favorite marvel character (first to Iceman and Gideon). I guess my choice has something to do with his story. He is a super hero (Angel) who later turns to a villain (Archangel--the angel with metal wings)) because of Mr.Sinister. He becomes a superhero again but finds himself unable to regain is previous form as Angel. His character changes from good to evil to good again; but remnants of the past (especially the evil ones) remain to haunt him. Same is true for me: I am not static. I change from time to time. These changes add up to become the present me. Like Warren Worthington III, I  just have to deal with the things brought by my past and realize that it is doing my my life now (whether as superhero or as a supervillain) that matters most.

I still don't know what Stan Lee (the author of Marvel Comics... is he still alive?) has done to Archangel in his series. If you have any ideas, updating me would greatly be appreciated. Thanks. :-)           

The answer: He was able to regain his wings but still remained as the blue-skinned mutant. <-- thanks to Goonie for the answer.
